I’m still alive

Yes, I am still in the land of the living, just havent been able to make beads recently.. I’m pregnant! But, I got on my sisters torch the other day, and whipped up a cute little pair of beads made from a beautiful glass, Gaffer Chalecedony, then I rolled them in clear frit.

I still have another 3 months to go, give or take, so hopefully will be back at making more goodies eventually!

Hope you like them as much as I do!

Busy Bee!!

As the title suggests, yes I have been a busy bee! Made a lot of sets lately, seems I have my mojo back..

Enjoy!

Aussie! Aussie! Aussie! Oi! Oi! Oi!

I made this BHB just for Australia Day!! (Hence the title)  It has a transparent green base, then I rolled it in 24k gold leaf, and encased the whole bead in clear.  Go the green and gold!! Really effective, I think!

Then I thought I’d try it in Rubino Oro – this is the result, and now have an order for 7 sets!! Yippee!!!

Animal Pandora Beads!

Art In Glass

Hello Bloggers

Well Hello fellow bloggers!  This is my first ever blog, so I guess I’ll start by introducing myself.. I make lampwork beads (among other things) but making glass beads is my passion I have discovered! It all started about 12 or so months ago.  Was introduced to Lampwork by my sister, through www.beadingforum.com.au   We thought we’d give it a go, and did a beginners class with Tracey Brown of Wildlight Studios in Brisbane.  It was so much fun, so I saved up and got myself a beginners kit and have had fun making my own glass beads ever since!!  My favourite things to make are big hole beads – similar to those found on pandora/biagi/chamilia bracelets, I make these into sizes for bracelets, and also as a focal bead for a necklace.  I also make pairs of beads up, and turn them into earrings, using sterling silver mostly.  I have some of my work for sale at  my etsy shop, www.artinglass.etsy.com ,and also once a month at local markets.

Thanks for letting me share!!!
